This authentic poster by Georges Thorogood is a real gem of our cultural heritage!
She announces the concert of the American blues-rock artist, November 15, 1982 at the Palace, Paris
Georges Thorogood offered Parisians an excellent concert far from any form of demonstration; for being used to playing in small American clubs, he knows that you do not win the favor of the public by dint of technique, but with the warmth that you are likely to display.
Thorogood's game is straightforward. It has these notes which catch and follow one another at full speed, and then which stretch for a long time with superb flights and tense riffs. Thorogood's guitar can tell a lot, joys, sorrows. Also, he has a voice that resembles his guitar, rough and direct, with just enough anger to rush the listener.
George Thorogood is a destroyer, a real one, and if his band is called The Destroyers, it's no coincidence.
The artist performed songs such as "Bad to the Bone" which got a huge reaction from the crowd.
